A (magnetic) inauguration!

Some time ago we flew to Cagliari to attend the grand opening of the new Porcelanosa showroom, a large Spanish company that mainly deals with ceramic tiles.

The inauguration of a showroom is a very important event (we know something!): it gives you the opportunity to see firsthand the brand creations and projects as well as to interact with all of its staff.

On this occasion, we were asked to deal with the furnishing of the room where the refreshments were located: a very spacious area characterized by long walls.

This time we were given “carte blanche”. We had large walls and so many ideas in mind.

In the end, we opted for the simplest solution: after all, as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said, “perfection in design is achieved when there is nothing left to take away”.

So we decided to launch our battle horse: the Wine Bar collection from the Magnetika line.

Few and simple elements have succeeded in conferring personality and enhancing a wall that was totally anonymous before.

First of all, we have applied onto the wall three elegant anthracite metal panels, which as well work as a functional backdrop for the magnetic accessories.

For this type of work, we have chosen small rectangular panels in order not to weigh down the wall, which has a beautiful antique teak color.

Ronda Design panels are however available in different sizes and finishes to fit any environment.

Once the metal panels were fixed, we selected the magnetic elements to be used.

Boiserie

As you can see from the photo, in the first panel we used oak win boxes to enhance the most valuable wine bottles, and we spaced them to a set of spice dispensers.

In the second panel we have placed a few glass holders at the sides, next to the wine boxes.

The third panel – on the other hand – has an even more practical function: we have applied magnetic elements to hang kitchen towels and other accessories of the kitchen set.

The result? A triptych with a linear design, eye catching and ergonomic.

As I told you, we preferred using a few simple elements to create a design wall using the spaces in an original way and using magnetism.

Although our little project has been designed to fit into a refreshing room, there is the possibility that you have different and perhaps more specific needs. In this case, do not hesitate to contact us at sales@rondadesign.it: our staff is at your disposal to help you find the right solution.
