With some difficulty, I managed to “extort” our art direction a picture of the new library Libera 45, which will be presented as a preview at the Salone del Mobile 2017.

Libera 45 exploits – for the first time – the Magnetika system by Ronda Design from a new perspective, by joining – magnetically – the vertical elements to the horizontal ones, ensuring the typical flexibility of this innovative technology.

It is a freestanding bookcase in wood and metal which exploits the Magnetika technology to eliminate the traditional fixing systems: in other words, you can forget nails and screws!

As the name itself suggests, Libera 45 (Free in English) grants full freedom of customization: thanks to magnetism, you can compose the bookcase according to your needs and your tastes.

In particular, you can choose how many layers to use, by a minimum of two to a maximum of eight: so if your collection increases, it will not be a problem to add one more shelf.

Moreover, you can freely create your composition, selecting the vertical items, “L” shaped or “C” shaped. You can thus create niches where you can store the books you are more fond of.

The vertical elements can be moved and repositioned at any time, thanks to a hidden magnetic system that allows you to fix them to both the wooden and the metal shelf.

Of course, none of this would be possible without our innovative technology based on magnetism: an invisible yet unstoppable force.

Libera 45 has a minimalist but extremely elegant design: the edges of the shelves are cut at 45° and – deflecting the light – create an extraordinary visual effect.

And that’s not all. You have the option of choosing the materials for each item of the bookcase, such as the refined American walnut or a variety of new finishes for painted metal.

Note: As with the Wood line, the wall panels of the Magnetika collection, even the wooden shelves of Libera 45 conceal a metal core that allows magnetic items to stick in the desired position and then be removed or repositioned at any time, in total freedom.
